Funny. I've never had asthma until I mowed down a banana plant in the yard at 24 years old. I'm not allergic to bananas but its dried leaves I am. My doc wanted to argue with me that I had asthma at 24 and I showed him the CBC with 27% eosinophils. Then he said, "yep, you got asthma." Never had it since.

Point being, they need to ground up some banana leaves and throw it in the wind if they really want to have an effect.
