Sounds like your friend is someone who notices things. Noticing is a pretty evil practice so I'm told.

'Noticing' = white privilege, which translates to white supremacy and you're a bigot for pointing this out.

But seriously - I visit Japan often and have many colleagues there. I would not say they are racist because as someone else pointed out with an analogy of certain tribes: they may dislike certain groups of people, but if those other groups are Asian as well - can you really call that racism?
