That not only takes money out of her ability to spread around to buy votes, it puts a massive hole in BR’s budget that will have to be filled somehow.

She would rather fight a losing battle to keep that money than concede defeat, lose about $25-50m annually from the general fund, and have to cover all that BRPD and BRFD funding by cutting other costs in BR’s budget or raising taxes.


She's not going to be mayor after November.

I thought Tara Wicker was going to beat her last time around yet they found a way to DQ her from even running.
