There was no civil rights suit and no injunction that I’m aware of.
Why waste the bullet until the LASC ruled for St George's incorporation?
I'm sure that bullet is being loaded, now.

Again, I’m not sure how the parish would have standing in your scenario.
I'm imagining the suit will involve claims of parish money/government power over minority citizens of the parish.
They can attack the law/process itself as violating various federal laws and the 14th Amendment.
Attack doesn't mean win, for the smoothbrains.
They pulled this bullet out during the vote on the COA years ago at the 11th hour of the vote. It cause the crucial vote to flip at the last second.

The COA won a close vote to allow them to collect a property tax. Exactly what 11th hour vote are you alluding to?

I understand the argument, just don't see it happening, seems like a huge reach.
Moreover, Ted James is going to defeat Broom in November and he appears to be more intelligent and practical. Why waste more tax money fighting the inevitable?

Doubtful. It’s an election year and Sharon won’t risk rustling feathers especially considering she has a formidable opponent this go-round who already supports STG.
