re: What’s the craziest story you’ve heard of a couple breaking up?

My second wife related the story of how she broke up with her third husband. They had been married for about three years, and there was much animosity between them. One night, they got into a knockdown, drag-out fight. Her husband went through the house, turning every TV, radio, etc. to full volume. He broke several windows (on a cold night) and turned the a/c to full blast. He then left in a huff.

She then proceeded to throw everything he owned out of the second-story window onto the backyard—clothes, electronics, art objects and oils, and several valuable guitars. She then turned all the yard sprinklers on continuous run and left.

My later breakup with her was a long, drawn-out affair, but it was not nearly as dramatic.
