QB: Carr, Haener, Rattler
RB: Kamara, Kendre, Williams
WR: Olave, Shaheed, AT, Wilson, Bub
TE: Juwan, Moreau, Taysom, Holliker
OL: Penning/FA, Saldiveri/FA, McCoy, Ruiz, Fuaga
OL2: Oli, Young, Ezirim
————-
DL: Cam, Bresee, Shepherd/Saunders, Granderson/Young
DL2: Turner, Foskey, Boyd, Kpassagnon
LB : Demario, Werner/Gay
LB2: Ford, Jackson, Hudson
CB: Lattimore, Adebo, Kool-Aid
Nickel: Alontae, Ugo
S: Tyrann, Howden, Abram, JT Gray
Need to add another starting caliber OL and S, but between the rookie class and our “redshirt” CLASS there should be plenty of young competition everywhere on the team. Should be a fun camp

Where is the RB room
Left side as we all know looks really suspect without Peat.
LB's will be better this year I think. I like Ford.
Secondary with Latt coming back will be a strength again.

I think our biggest need in FA is resigning Peat. If we can do that I feel much better. I'm not fully confident with our WRs but we did try to address that position. I feel decent about Dline, decent about LBs, great with CBs, decent with S. I still hate our K and P but do feel our K will become a good one in the next year or 2. Wish we drafted a P in the late rounds but maybe the UDFA guy will compete well.

They need to grab a safety for sure.
Also need to bring in a legit tackle like leno jr.
I'd bring peat back to play guard at the right number. Or another vet

I was going to start a thread about our need for another RB and surprise that we didn’t go after any in the draft or many in UDFA…
But I honestly forgot about Jamal Williams’ existence
We could be ok with the 3 we have.

Peat is better option imo bc he can play LT and LG

Sign Risener for LG
Sign Peat or Becton for T depth
Sign Simmons at S
Possibly if they can arrange the $, get Tyler Boyd at WR
With those moves we are at least able to win the division

Williams always reminds me of Madden's famous quote:
"He's the type of back that if ya need a yard, he'll get ya a yard."
"If ya need two yards, he'll get ya a yard."
In other words, Williams is terrible.

If you squint hard enough, you can kind of make out a solid roster but the saints need to draw an inside straight of luck and development to realize it.
CB and LB seem like the best position groups at the moment and hopefully will be a real strength of the team.
That OL still looks like a complete disaster. Absolutely need to add another veteran or two.
Everything else feels very average but with some hope.
Kendre Miller and Kamara could maybe be a plus duo, but miller hasn’t shown anything and Kamara is on the decline
The WR room needs a third guy. Maybe AT or means can be that guy, but right now this group looks average when healthy with no red zone targets.
TE has a nice player in Johnson with some serviceable depth but can’t call this group a strength.
DL seems average, with chance to be a plus unit if Bresee takes a big step and either Turner or Young stay healthy.
Safety is tough to say because I think you’ll see some of kool aid and Taylor in that group. I think a Safety needs to be added.
The only QB on the team that can win games next year is Carr.
7.5 - 8.0 feels like the correct over under for this roster playing in a still weak division.

We still have a few needs & I agree with all of this!
Who the hell would have thought prior to week 4 of of the 2023 season that we would be saying Peat is the key to this offense?!?!?!?!?!
OG--need to look at Dalton Risner or Trai Turner that was with us for a day last year before getting injured
WR--Olave/Shaheed/Perry are a good trio assuming Perry & Shaheed take marginal steps up, but unless they make leaps this is not a great WR room. I'd like to sign DJ Chark or Tyler Boyd as a bigger bodied type WR, and Hunter Renfrow
S--would be next on my list. I think Johnathan Abram can be a legit starter for us. I'm curious what Howden / Amade could do playing the deep FS, or if that's a role that Mathieu will slide into in the back end of his career. Kool-Aid and Alontae Taylor have both been rumored as possible moves to S as well, but I don't know if either are eager to do that
