As you may recall/notice, Malone also rec'd an offer from LSU in 2002.
- In fact, Malone would have been LSU's second QB for 2002...the other?
- Lester Ricard!
- Lester Ricard, rated as high as the No. 5 quarterback prospect in the nation and who was one of the top quarterback recruits in the country.
- In 2003, LSU's recruiting class included Flynn and Russell. As a result, Ricard transferred from LSU to Tulane.
FYI - In 2007, Ricard went undrafted, only to later sign w/ the Jags' practice squad. In 2008, Ricard signed w/ the Panthers, only to be released.
