Friday showed what we can do.

Saturday showed what happens when we let a Friday game go to our head and relax a bit.

Saturday also showed some fight and growth.

Both games showed Braswell needs to take 300 grounders a day. It’s doable. I’ve done it.

Friday showed sometimes you can play good baseball even when you aren’t a good team.

Saturday showed who they have been 95% of the year.

They are Saturday not Friday.

Saturday is how we played all year. I think Friday night game got some of y’all a little too excited. This team is the worse baseball team in LSU history

Friday was a complete one off. We haven’t showed that we’re capable of that all year.

I’m not so sure about us being that bad.

Baseball is a game of percentages and I would say right now we’re probably 65% bad things happening instead of about 50-50.

We get hits, but they’re not with RSP. When we have RSP, we don’t get hits.

We get home runs, but mostly solos.

The bulk of it has been against top-tier competition.

Throw in an in opportune error or two, and we are where we are.

As these guys start to show some fight, we will be much better.

A few weeks ago, we played lackadaisical, don’t-give-a-shite Baseball. That seems to be turning around.

No, just the worst in the last 50 years.

And our relief pitcher was not even warmed when he came in. How does
that happen?

It seems it was just yesterday we had Blake Money as our Friday night ace and ZERO LHP.

It also showed that his hitting is good enough to move up in the order.

Statistically, this team is off to a worse start than any LSU team ever. No team has ever lost their first 4 SEC series and this team has already lost its first 5, possibly 6 pending today’s game.

Hanny mentioned it on his podcast earlier this week. I think he said you'd have to go back to 1978 to find an LSU team with a record this bad at this point in the season, and even if they had swept Mizzou this weekend, their record would still be worse than that team. I did not expect this team to win another natty this year. I didn't even expect them to win the SEC, but for them to be this bad at virtually every aspect of the game is unacceptable.

Friday was the outlier

Nightmares of the late 70’s. Of course things were much different then.

Meauxjeaux couldn’t imagine just how many grounders Braswell fields every day in practice.
