I got a tattoo when I was 18 in the late 90s. I did it because I was leaving my tiny home town for college, and when everything around me felt like it was changing, I wanted something that would be permanent. That was my 18-year-old logic anyway.
Fast forward 25 years, and I morphed from lower middle class to upper to middle class. Wish I’d never gotten the tattoo, but I don’t hate it enough to have it removed.
