I bought a new 2017 220LTS with factory installed Yamaha 200 4cyl. It was not enough motor for that hull. I tried everything (props, motor height, etc..) but still had a slip of 20%. This was the re-designed hull that was supposed to be faster.
I sold it when kids wanted to hunt rather than fish.
I still can’t believe the factory specified and installed motor wouldn’t get bow out of the water. Original prop was a 21p. I called Triton and they told me that was the correct prop (full throttle achieved 4000rpm). Yamaha shares some blame as I don’t believe that motor makes 200hp.
While I would own a Triton again, I’d explore more options before purchasing another boat.

That’s nuts and yes the Yamaha 200 is a horrible pick.
