The players could get rid of him very easily - if he's in the crew, don't take the field.

There are times when players don't really have the power to effect a change and there are times when they do. Hernandez seems to adversely affect the game and appears to be substantially below his peers. He's been in MLB for a long time. Certainly he can retire and move on. If the players just didn't take the field, he would be gone. The umpire's union would cave in an instant.

If you’re of a protected group, you can be trash at your job and get promoted. This dude has no accountability so why do your job well?
