may not invalidate your point, but in the interest of accuracy that $82,000 is prize money, not salary, so player expenses including travel, lodging and paying the coaches/support staff have to be taken out of that. I’d imagine that, along with Wimbledon, the Us Open is one of the higher payouts as well meaning they are getting that kind of money for finishing last in every tournament.
