I would have tried to create a makeshift raft and paddle my way to the nearest lifeboat.

Do absolutely everything to ensure any loved ones on the ship with me were safely off.

Then probably panic and try to survive by myself.

I would get some rope, find as many 3rd class children as I could gather and tie them together so I could use them as a human flotilla. Then when the rescue boat arrived I would say, "Thank the Savior you found me. I couldn't bear the thought of resting upon these urchins a moment longer".

Yes. Find the fattest ones and make a party barge. Bonus: Make sure to lay them face down before assembling so you can cut thick slices of bacon off their backs to get your grub on when you hongree.

I'm going to find something that floats and throw it in the water. I'm going to bring some extra clothes to change into after I jump in the water to get on my raft.

Crap Story Number One:

Would have gotten into the ship’s supply of liquor. Chugged until the lights of the ship went out. Found that “Unsinkable Molly” chick and jumped on top of her.

Probably what would have really happened story number two:

I would have tried my best to not come into contact with the frigid water. Then bitch out.

I'd do literally anything to get my wife and kids on a boat. I'd stab and shank and punch and kick until they were on a boat. Then I'd try to find something floating in the water for myself.

I once read that many of the people jumped in the water not realizing they'd freeze to death so quickly. They thought they'd be fine floating in the water in life jackets. So with this hindsight ( ) I would immediately try to get on something out of the water.

Hide in a lifeboat until the Titanic sinks and then rob Rose of that damn necklace on the Carpathian that could have put her grandkids through college, put my own grandkids through college instead.

Swimming to a pile of life jackets wouldn't have helped anyhow. Once you get wet, you're dead.

The point remains: I would go down trying to cobble together a raft and oars of some sort to keep myself out of the water. Maybe it's a slim chance. But doing nothing is a 100% chance you'll be dead by sunrise
