For me there are kind of 2 - an early entry as a teen then a later reentry 30 years later.
Had been listening to Van Halen, Scorpions and so on in the late 70s but the song that I really consciously identified as metal that totally pulled me in was Iron Maiden's "Flight Of Icarus" from the Piece of Mind record. That was my first encounter with Steve Harris's galloping bass lines, and of course many followed. That was in HS, and I was simultaneously getting into jazz.
In a few years metal started getting really cheesy to me (hair metal) so I bailed and dove much more deeply into the jazz world. But then in the early 2000s I started hearing a few things that perked me ears and it really culminated with Opeth's entire Blackwater Park record, which just blew me away and still does.

Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.” I’d watched endless glam metal videos via my big brother watching Headbangers Ball, but none of those acts caught my eye.
Metallica really stood-out as something different. These guys weren’t concerned with their hair or their clothes.
These guys were angry. These guys were pissed.
I was 15 years old. I was pissed!

Like many others, Metallica "One."
Vividly remember the first time hearing "This Love", "Walk" and "Cemetary Gates."
First time hearing the first 20 seconds of Appetite For Destruction was mind-blowing.

Can’t choose a single song but Shout at the Devil was the album. Probably would have to include Blizzard of Ozz as well.

Metallica - One
12 year old Ghoast couldn’t get enough.
Saw them in 1989 for the first time on the Justice tour and 33 years 364 days laters saw them on 72 Seasons tour for the 4th time. Still kicking arse.

Not exactly metal but ACDC's Back in Black album did it for me. Then 2112, VH1, and Number of the Beast.
