The two biggest factors in the USNWR rankings are (1) peer assessment (which is purely reputational ie total BS) and (2) four-year graduation rates.

For some reason, it appears that LSU's graduation rate plummeted to 47%. Whether that is because of F. King or some other underlying cause, IDK. But 47% will make you drop, for sure. Obviously, that's fewer students graduating than not graduating. Not great.

That tends to happen when you place a priority on admitting under qualified students who check DEI boxes.

That puts a ceiling on any south Louisiana school. A lot of 18 year olds don't have the maturity to go to a party school in a party town.
