How would that be different from any other year? I'm just saying that there's a noticeable uptick in kids choosing to stay in-state but not at LSU.

Do we have the data that shows this phenomenon is happening at a higher rate this year than years prior or is this just anecdotal evidence?

I have heard from some parents than LSU seemingly isn't recruiting students from the local areas as hard as they have before so that could be a factor. But my kid is far from college age and I'm far removed from college myself so I haven't really kept my finger on the pulse of the situation admittedly. Now I'm kind of genuinely curious.

Have good friend who both he and his wife are LSU grads. Ditto for their son and daughter-in-law.
Their grandson was a top student in his high school. The whole family was stunned at how apathetic LSU was when he applied.
He made a trip to Alabama and they basically rolled out the carpet for him.
He just found out that he will be getting even more freebies next year because of his grades and activities involvement.
