Again. You don’t find it unusual that Zion did this without BI? Do you think this is just random coincidence? Or the fact that Zion and the team clearly knows hes the number one option in clutch makes a difference
Zion was given plenty of chances this year to perform in the clutch. Early in the year he was literally leading the league in turnovers in the clutch. He wasn’t good. For 3/4ths of this year we’ve been waiting for him to take the reins from BI. It’s what has to happen on this team and he wasn’t able to do that. And that wasn’t BIs fault. It was a Zion not playing good enough problem.
I am ecstatic to see him finally playing smarter in the clutch. We really need a playoff series to help with his learning curve.
But even with him as the main guy, he has to have a good #2. Middleton was so clutch for Milwaukee. That’s all we need BI to be, and he without a doubt can be that guy and better. The problem is Zion has to be that Giannis level player, and he hasn’t been, but we are seeing some promise late this season. But the big game arse whippings sure as shite aren’t helping with that.

Yeah you didnt really answer the question. It’s different when the other player isn’t on the floor and its all on you as the main guy. You’re making this a Zion v BI thing. Thats not what I’m saying. I’m saying its not just coincidence that Zion performed better in the clutch when BI wasn’t there. I just don’t think they fit together and even in the clutch Zion performs better without BI on the court. In the end, I don’t think you need another guy who demands the ball if you trade BI, Mobley would be good and you run everything, even in clutch, through Zion.
