Ha. My son loves trains. We recently watched a show about the Shinkansen (Japanese Bullet Train). The amount of work the Japanese do to make sure that the train runs on time and is safe to ride is incredible. I seriously doubt the current American low wage worker could or would pull it off.

Shinkansen macine broke.

Japanese (homogeneous) culture takes pride in the betterment of society.

Our modern US “culture” derives pleasure in not taking pride for or in anything.

So no, we generally cannot have nice things like high speed rail or even public bathrooms that require positive group effort and personal responsibility now here.

The Japanese are much more civil and behaved than most Americans. The thugs will make traveling in the trains a nightmare. They will tear that train up
