You're not wrong, but I don't think we know much of anything about this chick to know what she's really about. All sorts of women are "Christian" as a sort of therapy.
She's been with him since HS and he was a golf "prodigy" from a young age.
People here get very weird about athlete wives.

Man I’m so sick of the cynicism in this world. By all accounts, they’re both excellent people who have their priorities straight. She’s got all her social media private, I’d say that’s a pretty dang good sign that she’s a genuine person and not just some vapid woman.
