I agree with the OP, also:

After the 1st Tenn Game, this baseball team has struck out 290 times this year. That’s 25% of the time. And that’s overall for every game, if you just took SEC games, that percentage gets way higher.

It gets worse. LSU pitchers have walked 151 batters this season. That is crazy terrible.

I see progression in certain players, both pitchers and hitters.

But then, there is also strong regression in some players as well. Even just within this season.

It’s not a coaching issue. It’s a mindset and execution problem. Baseball like this is like a whirlpool. It pulls you down and holds you there until finally somebody steps up and pulls everyone out. That either will happen this season or it won’t. That’s ultimately up to the guys in the locker room. Until then, we are stuck in the whirlpool.
