The OP is asking about Mexican Cartels moving weapons (bought in the US) into Mexico. If you think cartels don't smuggle stuff from the US into Mexico under the noses of Mexican Customs officials directly through boarder crossings, they you're not living in reality.
On mission trips we cross the boarder at Matamoros, Going through Mexican customs into Mexico is sketch. Sometimes we go through with no problems, sometimes they want a "tax" to get our medical supplies through, the "tax" is never the same
