Actually he was that player but didn't need to shoot less. He was the outside threat LSU needed in 1991 as they won the SEC title. However he contracted mono in the last few weeks of the season and never fully recovered his strength. This was a key factor in the Tigers losing to Georgia Tech in the second round.
