Not sure why Drew was even a candidate. Outside of the one championship year his tenure at Baylor has just been ok, by Kentucky standards. Wouldn't have been an upgrade over Cal.

I work with a Kentucky fan and he's convinced it's gonna be an NBA guy, but not necessarily Donovan.

He’s good friends with Mitch Barnhart.

Why does everyone keep saying this? They've had two 1 seeds and two 3 seeds in the last four years including a championship.

Kentucky's last Final Four was in 2015. Since then, they've had two Elite Eight exits, one Sweet Sixteen exit, two second round exits, and two first round exits with one missed tournament.

Baylor in that same time frame: one National Championship, two Sweet Sixteen exits, three second round exits, and one first round exit with one missed tournament.

Those are extremely comparable and only one has a championship. It wasn't Kentucky who is constantly bringing in a top two recruiting class. Drew has had as much if not more success with what is perceived as less talent. That would indicate he's a better coach.

There are only 17 ever to win multiple national championships. I believe 7 active have 1 and only 3 active have 2.

So the list of schools with more National Championships than Baylor since 2015 is Villanova and UConn.
