In an era where defensive backs could do anything to wide receivers and defensive lineman could headslap offensive linemen and quarterbacks. Most Hall of Fame quarterbacks from the 60s and 70s had career interception stats close to their touchdown passes stats--Namath, Bradshaw, Stabler, Tarkenton, Fouts, Unitas all had touchdown pass to interception ratios of 1.5 to 1 or worse.
