It’s not very often that you just throw a a freshman out there to start against SEC teams with no experience unless they are truly elite. They will usually get eased in to make sure they can handle the competition, and he hasn’t been able to do it so far. Granted none of the other guys have either.

idk he does look better with a full routine than out the pen but generally being bad out the pen isn’t a great way to get a starting spot

Hasn't looked good vs SEC hitting. So not going to just put him out there to start. Easing freshman into that role to see if they can handle it is usually how it works to not lose their confidence.

Now to be fair our pitching outside of Holman, Herring and maybe Jump has been very bad so maybe he eventually gets a shot if our pitching continues to struggle. But hopefully we start to see improvement from the staff as a whole this weekend against Tennessee. Doubtful but they have talent.
