At least property taxes are charged on a local level, and I can get my school board member or my parish council member to answer the phone and talk to me.
If my net tax bill doesn't go down one penny, yet more power and decisions are made at the local level, this is a huge win.

Thats a lot of assumptions for Louisiana politics.
