Not at all. He was verbally abusive to me and a few others, me most of all. HR found out about it, but he continued. To save his hide, he changed paperwork and reporting to make it look like I was performing poorly, to get me fired so I could not report him for his continued abuse. In short, he is crazy, and while I think this is a blessing, It does not pay the bills.

For what it’s worth, this reeks of you not taking any accountability. I just don’t see how you were this perfect little angel made victim and didn’t contribute in any way.

Firing you doesn't (or shouldn't, at least) shield him if you can prove he falsified documentation. Louisiana is an "at will" state, but there are some exemptions. There's also a statute of limitations so you may want to at least have an initial consult with an attorney who specializes in wrongful termination claims.
