Slidell can be nice and below average. The outskirts away from the Katricians(NOLA East and Chalmette people). They took over the central part and the crappy part of Lakeshore Estates. I live on a bayou on the north side close to Lake Ponchatrain and it has the moss covered cypress and live oaks, great scenery.
