A few things:

1. Disagreeing with their lifestyle and thinking it's wrong doesn't mean they hate them. That's the liberal line of thinking. If we hated them, we'd be bullying them and trying to get them to kill themselves.

2. The only "Republican" who has called for a nation-wide ban is Lindsey Graham, the swampiest RINO and neocon in Congress.

3. We're fine with them voting Republican, but we shouldn't be going out of our way to embrace them. It's the same thing with Trump and Lindsey Graham. I have no problem with Graham voting for Trump, but what I have a problem with is Trump putting Graham in charge of running his campaign in South Carolina and constantly hugging him on stage after stage in state after state. Gays want to vote Republican? Fine. But don't embrace them by doing events with them.
