According to him, which was it? Did they train for PG or SG skills? He says both.
Nothing was sprung at the last minute on the HVL party. It was common knowledge she was being brought in to play PG. Personally, I thought she’d be great at it and still score her share. I was wrong.
HVL, her dad, and trainer knew what they were getting into. This team was loaded. Maybe too loaded and not enough basketballs to go around.
Losing Smith and Poole before SEC play sure did not help, but bottom line, HVL did not get us any further than she did Louisville—Elite Eight. It did not work out. She tried and she worked hard but it wasn’t a good fit. Let’s move on. This will be Mikaylah Williams’s and Flau’Jae Johnson’s team next season.
And goddamn, I hope the NCAA bans teams from playing in these jack leg Caribbean tournaments in those fricking shitty junior high gyms.
