Personally, no lights on EDC for the reasons you mentioned. Have flashlights in vehicles, and daily carry backpack that I can access if needed. Most if my EDC is done in the daylight so I see no reason to add weight or bulk to a pistol.
Most of my home defense weapons however have laser / light combos; Banshee in 9mm, M17, 20 gauge Turkey Thug, and Sig 556xi in 7.62x39. This is different than EDC and most likely they will be needed after dark. I’m not carrying these around and none are in holsters so the extra weight / bulk doesn’t bother me.
