I can tell you that Verizon works great internationally, but never looked into who/what they use in other areas. I had better service in fricking Bosnia than I do at my house in MS...I wish I was joking.

Thanks y'all! I like the idea of a cheap burner phone. I'll have to look into In Reach too.
