I've lived in a camper on and off for years now. I went from a full on RV, to a pull behind Scamp trailer camper, and now a slide in trucker camper. The big RV was too much and I would have never bought it myself. It was a loaner from my parents. The pull behind was great but didn't work for ski season really, so I got the truck camper. The truck camper has worked great, but if there is one inconvenience it doesn't go on and off the truck as easy. I have lived with two people and two dogs in both the small pull behind and the truck camper just fine. Usually after about 3-4 months I start feeling the desire to live in a house for a while again.
Only one time have I ever stayed in an RV park and it's not really my vibe. Being off grid is where it's at, and it's pretty easy these days with starlink if you want to stay somewhat connected
