So, I’m in the 3%.

ETA:

Mr. Peltz received 31 percent of the vote from shareholders who thought he should join the company’s board, according to a preliminary count.

CNBC had a graphic today showing 97% voted for Iger.

That is because the individual shareholder has no say.

Then they’ve forgotten how to make it because they’re creating content that the majority of their core customer base tolerates at best.

That gets old eventually.

Asked whether Disney would stay out of politics, CEO Bob Iger said that the company is not out to “advance any kind of agenda,” but rather is focused on entertainment.

Isn't this about the 3rd or 4th time he's said this, or similar? Only for Disney to keep churning out the same agenda-driven crap like The Acolyte? He says this just to try to buy time. Either that or give just enough ammo for the "moderates" like on here to say, "See? Straight from Iger's mouth. They're not political! And if you disagree you're an incel/racist/homophobe/basement dweller."

Not all shareholders. I voted all of my DIS shares for Peltz’s slate of nominees and against Iger.

I did as well.

Literally today they announced that the Silver Surfer in the new Fantastic Four movie… who has been a man for the last 50 years, will be played by Julia Garner.

By the next decade, Wolverine will be a non-binary pansexual.

Iger hasn’t learned his lesson. Peltz needs to restart the campaign for next year right now. They’re weaker than before. Make another run.

There are a couple of lawsuits running right now, trying to force Disney to act in their shareholders best interest and punish them for shirking their fiduciary responsibilities to their shareholders.

Disney shrieked that Peltz knew nothing of the creative process. What he does know is fire everybody that fricked up, and hire awesome creators at 1/4 the price.

Me three on the not-Iger vote.

I voted only for Peltz's slate and for none of Igers. But by not putting forward a full slate, people may have felt they had to vote for x number of directors and that would dilute the Peltz total.

If so, then they need to shake things up.

They have woefully underperformed the S&P 500 for years and they vote for the status quo. Maybe if they give Iger another hundred million he won’t be so shitty at his job.

Except for when they introduced a female surfer... 42 years ago.

And that character was introduced 56 years ago.

So, yeah, the Silver Surfer was exclusively male for 8 of the 50 years you mentioned.

I gave this show a chance because Boy Meets world was such a good show when I was younger. There was an episode about how great communism. Never watched an episode since.
