Dear FB,

I was bamboozeled in 1983 as an 8 yr old kid getting into basketball. My entire family are all UNC fans. I barely remember when UNC won in 82 and we had UNC sodas... So when State won in 83 I became the black sheep of my family and was a State fan.

Then they sucked in sports for the next 40+ years... I told my son to never pull for a loser... Pick UNC for basketball and Clemson in football... be a bandwagoner... it's so much better.

My son last night asked me why he has no State apparel.... just like his father, he's gonna get bamboozeled too.

This is unbelievable!!!!

Let's take the time to pour one out for DollaChoppa who still hasn’t posted since he committed seppuku after the Covid policies he enthusiastically supported got NC State kicked out of the CWS.

lol, i’ve lived in probably the best era ever to be an LSU fan.

Maybe someone 10-15 years older than me would have it slightly better but I got 90s LSU Baseball launching LSU into the blood blood discussion as a kid, 2000-2020s football, a final 4 in Basketball, multiple final 4/ and a Natty in WBB.

My son is 2.5 and we’ve won a couple championships since he was born but i’m worried he missed the best years. I definitly had the “omg what am I doing to this kid” moment in 2021 while I rocked my newborn and sang him the fight song right before Kentucky blew our doors off.

As a general rule, you should treat a collective noun as singular.

If you’re going to be an a-hole about grammar, at least be correct.

I am correct. It's plural. Would you say "My Tigers is going to the FF"? Just because it doesn't sound as dumb without an s at the end doesn't mean it's correct.

“A pack of wolves”

“A gaggle of geese”

“A group of people”

He didn’t say “my wolves is going”. He said “my Wolfpack is going”

You would if you were talking about a streak or ambush (of tigers). Do you know what a collective noun is? Where did you go to school?

Parents and children are also a collective. You would still say ":my parents ARE" or "my children ARE"

Tigers is not a collective noun, so it is treated as plural. Pack is a collective noun, and is treated as singular.

Example: a group of lions is called a pride. Pride, in this setting, is a collective noun. Lions is a plural noun.

The pride is drinking water.

The lions are drinking water.

The only time a collective noun is treated as plural is if the members of the group are doing different things. This is where it gets complex, so you should just stop here.

But for example, the word family is a collective noun.

If the members are doing the same thing, it’s singular, different things, plural.

My family is going skiing this year.

My family are all going to different places for the holidays.

Hope that clears it up.

Parents and children are plural nouns. Not collective. You’re out of your element. And moreover, you’re a dick.

The Magic are going, the Jazz are going, the Heat are going...go read an article. The Wolfpack is being used as a collection of individuals. It should be a plural verb. Sorry.
