He changed the dirty debutante/milk & cookies wording to:

Do you prefer the team that wants to grow women’s basketball or the one seemingly hellbent on dividing it?


Seems like the defending national champions have done a pretty good job growing the game- the author must’ve missed these headlines:
“ Sunday’s NCAA women’s title game draws record TV audience”
“ Nearly ten million viewers for NCAA women’s title game”
“ N.C.A.A. Women’s Tournament Shatters Ratings Record in Final”

It’s tone-deaf and it’s right on-par with so many in that part of the country who live in a bubble, blind to reality.

UCLA sports is irrelevant. Their head football coach willingly left to take an assistant coaching job. They cover half of the Rose Bowl with a tarp because they can’t draw more than 50K fans. It’s only going to get worse for the other sports when they start playing Big10 schools. He was attempting to drum up support where there is none, and he failed miserably.
