I think this is a good idea for those parents who have kids. I know as far as being a parent keep the gun locked up. But mistakes are made or feeling like “my kid knows not to play/touch the gun” mentality, but things happen and kids being kids lives are lost to protocols not being followed.
With this technology it can save a young child’s life in these type situations.

There should be an override option to disable the biometric component.
There will be (likely already is) an override option, but it's not to disable the biometric component, it overrides the ability to function.

I can understand parents having them on some guns, not sure I would want it on a self defense firearm.
Its not a real problem until the government forces it.

I grew up in a house where the guns were not locked up. I knew if I touched one, I would be severely disciplined. Millions of kids grew up this way for decades. Parents don't want to be parents anymore. They want their kids to like them or they just don't want the responsibility.
People should be able to buy these weapons if they want, but democrats have already tried to force this on everyone. Changing the culture is more effective than changing the law.
