I would disagree especially considering our qb is a bit subpar when it comes to dealing with pressure to begin with. I like Odunze he has potential but WR is not a need.

You are too focused on need and short term goals for next year. In actuality, I also don’t think a first round tackle necessarily pushes you to a playoff birth next year anyway. Carr is a veteran who is getting paid well and needs to figure it out. He isn’t going to get the perfect offense and an offensive playmaker still helps him. Now if a first round tackle is the BPA then you absolutely take the tackle. But don’t go in and say tackle or bust when there is better talent on the board that can transform your offense.

You do realize our gm is Mickey Loomis and our head coach is DA? They literally operate from salary cap to free agency purposes year to year. If we really wanted to talk whats best for this franchise long term forget Odunze or Bowers they should go after a QB.

Also fundamentally it doesn’t matter what kind of weapons you have when your oline is falling apart. There are certain years I would agree to get the best guy available. This year they don’t have that luxury. Lets be honest- look at the free agents at OT out there- it’s basically training camp bodies. I just don’t buy your theory in one of the most important positions on a football team- the blindside LT- we should just go with a “serviceable” guy. I mean they never did this with Brees yet you think they should do this with Carr?

All im saying is the oline is so bad this year that the Saints dont have luxury of drafting BPA. Especially since they’ve done nothing free agency wise to really help this oline.
