First time I think I have ever heard someone compare a snub nose 38 to an AR.
A couple of notes of fact. The UC gun has probably 30% more machining required than a regular run of the mill j frame. Cuts for the sights, bevel in cylinder and barrel shroud. The G10 grips are about $80. The XS sights are $100. The trigger enhancement is probably worth another $100. There is value in the gun with that considered. It’s a capitalist economy so no one is going to force anyone to purchase it. Free will is a great fricking thing.
They aren’t readily available in most shops because they are very popular. The 432 model is selling on GB for double MSRP. I think Smith listened and delivered a solid product here.
