This is for a state rep position. Why are we even talking about this? I'm sure a democrat won dog catcher somewhere as well.

The media and liberal pundits are vehemently attempting to use this as a bellwether for “reproductive freedoms” heading into November.
Reality of what occurred … a special election that most Republicans didn’t GAF about—combined with the fact a few thousand Democrats showed up to scream about abortion—led to weak voter turnout. Dems in Alabama had an issue around which to rally; Republicans did not.
Regardless, Alabama and its voters ought to be ashamed.
