I use Wyze v3 cams for all my needs. A $35 camera and minisd card and internet and you can record everything. It's not the highest quality, but I monitor all my farm animals like this.
The biggest hangup I have is it's only via app, but you can record off your phone and send or save. When I have animals giving birth, I'll set it up to alert me when a certain area sees movement. So I can then just scroll through the alerts and see if there is anything there.
As is true with most.. I'm sure it all goes through China.

Third recommendation for Wyze. Cameras are good quality / low price and they even sell an adapter where you can daisychain power off of a standard light bulb socket.
They just came out with the V4 that offers 2k resolution.
