Naw. Both have P2P issues but Mexico has legit political and social nepotism from the rich and government officials. American politicians aren't forcing MLS teams and the USNT to play/start their sons over more talented players.

Also the impact of Liga MX is the real killer. Funny enough American Mexicans are the main reason Liga MX has so much money and why it's causing what talent they do have to not develop.

It's not shocking their best prospect is Italian -Argentinian and the son of a non-Mexican pro soccer player. And they still won't start him because he's not a Liga MX star
