That’s a good example. Definitely not a diverse cast in terms of race. But two women were at the forefront of the story even though the book wasn’t as focused on them as the movie was. Not that that bothered me but I don’t know how prominent their roles would have been if it was made 30 years ago.

Nolan has proven himself to be an overwhelming creative and commercial success. He and some of the other old guard can get anything they want greenlit because they have preexisting immunity.

Some of you are so ridiculous.
Let's assume Christopher Nolan isn't a known quantity with an already established 20-year career: would Oppenheimer have been greenlit?
Next question: Given the current state of Hollywood and forced diversity quotas, what happens when there are no more Christopher Nolans?
