Mine has been great! Honestly, best motor I’ve had. Great on gas and a ton of torque. And BRP didn’t go out of business, they just stopped making Evinrude. Parts are still widely available and plenty of mechanics work on them. Realistically, someone could buy my boat for $12k cheaper than one with a Mercury and possibly run it for 15 years and never have an issue with it. If it does pop one day, you could repower with a brand new motor and still not be in it for that much more than one with a used motor
