If I could make 60k+ and still get off three months a year, I could do a lot of other jobs. I enjoy teaching, but it’s not my life.

So yes, I’d stop working, put away enough to live off the interest, and fix cars, build furniture, hike, etc. for the rest of my life. And I’d be happy.
