Was CM Bank known for littering local businesses with counter checks so customers could pay things with them before debit cards? And one of the bank’s owners famously bought an airplane with a counter check.
Legend has it there so many of those checks left they were used in the construction of the building, so when it is imploded watch out for a confetti of CM Bank counter checks to rain on the streets of Lake Chuck, just kidding about this part, but would be amazing if it was true.

They were so powerful back in the day that they had wtitten into the Louisiana State Constitution in the30's language specifically excluding Calcasieu Marine from regulations against multi parish banking. Only bank in the state.
