There was never a "request" by either Bowser or Pelosi. Trump did offer and they refused it. The bold is where your post jumped the shark. Trump first of all cannot "federalize" the ng without permission of the Gov. of a state or mayor of DC permission. A president cannot deploy without a emergency declaration. Checks and balances for this situation were put into place for a reason.

Pelosi is irrelevant to this conversation. Trump did not need her to say yea or nay . Bowser is not however.It could be that everyone is looking in the wrong place. DC guard strength is max 2500 -3000 . So who makes up the remainder? Was there a request to the Governor of Maryland ?Because he would probably make up the rest.
