There are certain airports that have connecting flights and some that don’t. Many smaller airports don’t.

For instance, you probably can’t find a flight where you connect in BTR or SHV, right? In the same way, I was unaware that we had connecting flights at DCA. It’s a small airport with “hubs” for all airlines relatively nearby. So I assumed that for every flight in and out, passengers were either leaving from their origin or arriving at their final destination
