I've been hit by a student once.
Kid 1 walked up to kid 2 and punched. Kid 2 crumpled.
Kid 3 tried to jump on kid 1, and I stepped between them.
In the meantime, kid 2 got up and threw a punch at kid 1. He missed and hit me in the fricking ear.
By this point, another teacher arrived, so I grabbed kid 2 and dragged him into my classroom.
Judo team shite kicked in and I hip tossed (o goshi) him to the ground and put my knee into his back to keep him pinned.
I think about how now I would have been fired for pinning a kid with my knee.

The hip toss is under-rated, and super easy, regardless of size. Not dangerous, either.
