I think the goal is to have the River Center be redone and expand Convention Hall Capacity and not try to make the arena part larger. With increase Convention center capacity (hall space), Baton Rouge can compete for larger Organizations that have their annual meetings at different cities around the country each year. Baton Rouge can use the late fall and spring dates when weather up North is still quite cold and snowy and attract conventions.

Where is the money going to come from to revitalize the River Center?

From the same pot of money that they want to use to raise storm water taxes.

They are dreaming. EBR is short of cops, they can’t paint the streets, clean up trash, and lock up juvenile delinquents now.
